“Trinity” by Andrei Rublev was returned to the iconostasis in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. The icon was replaced with a copy due to a breakdown of the climate chambertranslated

The “Holy Trinity” icon, painted by Andrei Rublev, was returned to the iconostasis of the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, RBC reports. According to the publication, this happened on October 5.
RBC's source said that work on the climate showcase that contains the icon has been completed.
On September 12, “Echo” and religious researcher Ksenia Luchenko, with a link to sources, reported that the special climate chamber in which the icon is located was broken. The icon, according to them, is kept in conditions of 80 percent humidity. At the same time, experts say that it should be stored at a humidity of 50-55%. According to Echo, when the camera broke down, a specialist from Germany arrived in Lavra for repairs, but soon after his departure the equipment broke down again. The Moscow Patriarchate stated that the icon was removed from the iconostasis, and that specialists from the Tretyakov Gallery were conducting a “routine inspection” of it. A printed copy of the icon was temporarily placed in the iconostasis. The Tretyakov Gallery reported that the “Trinity” is now being restored, and confirmed that museum staff will check the condition of the icon.
“Trinity,” painted in 1422–1427, has been kept in the Tretyakov Gallery since 1929. Vladimir Putin, by his decree, transferred it to the Russian Orthodox Church...
