Three historical monuments of the Negru Vodă Monastery in Câmpulung will be restoredtranslated

Three historical monuments of the Negru Vodă Monastery in Câmpulung, Argeș county, will be restored and enhanced as part of a financing project signed at the beginning of August.
According to a post on the Facebook page of the place of worship, the interventions target the Hospital Church "Nastrea St. John the Baptist", the enclosure wall and the cells of the monastic complex.
The contract was signed between the Negru Vodă Monastery, as beneficiary, and the South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency, within the South-Muntenia Regional Program 2021–2027.
Project in support of the monastery The project aims to consolidate, restore and preserve the three components of the monastic complex, all listed in the List of Historical Monuments.
The Church of the "Birth of Saint John the Baptist" Hospital, the enclosure wall and the cells will be rehabilitated so that they retain their functionality and can be integrated into religious, cultural and tourist activities.
The interventions are designed not only to protect the built heritage, but also to capitalize on it for the benefit of the local community and those who visit the Negru Vodă Monastery.…
