Metropolitan Teofan of Moldavia and Bucovina, together with Bishops Ignatie of Hus and Macarie of Northern Europe, re-consecrated the "Saint Gheorghe" Church in the municipality of Bârlad on Sunday.

Starting from the words of Sunday's Gospel, "Go deeper and you will find out", the Most Reverend Father Theophanes explained that the exhortation given by Christ to the disciples remains current: "The man of the deep struggles not to remain a prisoner of formal things, but to go to the content, to the truth".

"The man of the deep is the one who knows Christ, who opens the doors of his soul so that the Lord can penetrate into the depths of the innermost being."
