Anniversary in Galați: 17 years since the elevation of the Eparchy of Lower Danube to the rank of Archbishoprictranslated

On Sunday, the 17th anniversary of the elevation of the Lower Danube Eparchy to the rank of Archdiocese took place at the Galati Archbishop's Cathedral. His Eminence Father Cassian, Archbishop of Lower Danube, performed the Holy Liturgy.

The service was attended by clerics from the diocese, local authorities, people of culture, students of the seminary and believers from Galata. Within it, the deacon Gheorghe Tobă was ordained a priest, and the theologian Timotei Mistrean was ordained a deacon.

The Most Reverend Father Cassian showed that humility and obedience to Christ is the foundation of the apostolate. His Eminence explained the connection between the Church and believers, who have the duty to transform faith into deeds of support for their neighbors.

"The wonderful humility of the first fishermen, who showed the limits of their human impotence before the One who can fulfill them all, represents the key to the apostolate through humility and obedience to the Savior Jesus Christ", explained the Archbishop of Lower Danube.
