Where they can hear the heartbeat: the work of doctors and psychologists was celebrated in Gomeltranslated

On July 6, 2026, the Gomel Diocesan Administration hosted a solemn awarding of Hierarchal Certificates to specialists who distinguished themselves in protecting and preserving the lives of unborn children within the framework of the “Human Heartbeat” project.
Archbishop Stefan of Gomel and Zhlobin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The Bishop thanked doctors and specialists whose professional work is related to supporting women, preserving families and caring for the life of a child before birth.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Family, Motherhood and Childhood “Pokrov”, the Director of the SPU “Center for Support of Family, Maternity and Childhood “Pokrova”” Andrey Vladimirovich Zubenko, as well as the Deputy Chief Physician for Outpatient Care of the State Institution “Gomel Central City Clinical Clinic” Ekaterina Vladimirovna Vederko. In their addresses, they spoke about the importance of the joint work of medical institutions, charities and the Church in helping women faced with difficult choices.
