The priest met with the players of HC Gomel on the eve of the new seasontranslated
On the eve of the new hockey season, the rector of the parish of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious in Gomel, Archpriest Dimitry Goncharov, met with the players of HC Gomel.
The meeting began with a prayer service, after which the clergyman sprinkled holy water on the athletes. Afterwards, Archpriest Dimitri spoke with the hockey players about a healthy lifestyle, being attentive to one’s spiritual and physical condition, as well as the importance of participating in the Sacraments of the Church.
The athletes were able to ask the priest questions that interested them and discuss topics related to faith and church life.
