The priest took part in the celebrations dedicated to Railwayman's Daytranslated

On July 30, the rector of the parish of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in the city of Lida, Archpriest Maxim Tsigel, at the invitation of the management of the UP Locomotive Depot Lida Baranovichi Branch of the Belarusian Railway, took part in the celebrations dedicated to the upcoming professional holiday Railwayman's Day.

From the stage of the Lida Palace of Culture, Father Maxim congratulated everyone involved on the upcoming celebration and remembered the exploits of the workers of the railway during the Great Patriotic War, individual feats of engineering and design ideas for creating an armored train, by putting steel armor on a small passenger locomotive of the O series.

“We have the opportunity to live peacefully, create and plan for the future, thanks to the current generations of steel line workers and, even more so, to the previous heroes,” emphasized Archpriest Maxim.

By the way, Archpriest Maxim’s personal model of the Soviet railway station is replenished with station structures and rolling stock independently built by the priest. On the station model there are more than twenty pieces of equipment created with your own hands. Recently, a wagon for transporting bitumen was installed at the mock-up of a linear station...
