Opening the meeting, the rector of the Seminary, Archpriest Pavel Kizyun, read out a congratulation on the beginning of the new academic year from His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill. His Eminence Bishop was co-served by the secretary of the Novosibirsk Diocesan Administration, Archpriest Georgy Patrin, the rector of the Novosibirsk Theological Seminary, Archpriest Pavel Kizyun, Dean K... On August 29, on the day of remembrance of the transfer from Edessa to Constantinople of the Image Not Made by Hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, Metropolitan Bartholomew of Novosibirsk and Berdsk led the Divine liturgy in Spassky... On September 1, clergy of the Kazan deanery visited educational institutions and took part in ceremonial events dedicated to the Day of Knowledge.

Хорошо, что священники из Казанского благочиния пришли на линейки 1 сентября. У нас в Казани тоже всегда стараются поздравить детей лично, особенно в первые классы — ребятишки стоят такие серьёзные с букетами, запоминается надолго. А в семинарии, судя по всему, тоже начали учебный год с патриаршего поздравления, правильно.

Here in Yekaterinburg, too, last year, the priest from our church came to the assembly at the first school, and the children then spent the whole of September telling how he gave each first-grader a small icon.
