Priest met with parents at Sharypov's Family Clubtranslated

At the Family Club "Around Me — the World," established at the Sharypovskiy Family Center, parents met with the assistant to the dean of churches of the Sharypovskiy district, a staff clergyman of the cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the igumen Basil Popov. The conversation was dedicated to parent-child relationships.
Father Basil drew the parents' attention to the fact that behind a child's loud tantrum or challenging behavior, there is often not a desire to upset adults, but a lack of attention. Participants discussed age crises and concluded that many conflicts arise from a lack of understanding of child development psychology: what adults perceive as stubbornness is often a normal stage of growing up, requiring not punishment, but wise support.
Together with the priest, parents sought answers to questions on how to maintain calm, be firm in decisions, and not lose the trust of their children. The main message of the meeting was the truth that children learn more from their parents' example — in actions, intonations, and attitudes towards others — than from their words.
Parents thanked Father Basil for his pastoral sensitivity and readiness to answer difficult questions.
