Priest Samokhin told what things lead to temptation and should not be in the housetranslated

The priest of the Russian Orthodox Church, Mikhail Samokhin, told what objects, in his opinion, should not be in the house of an Orthodox person. As Kulik writes, there are no strict church prohibitions on home improvement, but attention should be paid to what a person fills his home and everyday life with. Samokhin noted that there should be no things in the house that could contribute to sin. He included occult literature, images and objects associated with other religions, as well as things related to pagan beliefs. According to him, such objects do not correspond to the idea of an Orthodox home.
The priest also spoke out against so-called amulets and other items that are credited with protective properties. In particular, he mentioned images of eyes, which are believed to watch over a person, as well as brooms, which some use as amulets. In addition, in his opinion, there should be no literature in the house that could seduce a person.
