The priest blessed Navy veterans for the construction of a monument to sailorstranslated

On October 4, in the Pribrezhny Park in the Zavolzhsky district of the city of Ulyanovsk, the next stage of work took place on the construction of a memorial monument in honor of the sailors who gave their lives in the defense of Russia’s water borders. On this day, a container with formwork was poured with concrete under the aft part of the monument ship. The work was made possible thanks to the charitable assistance of seafarers.
The construction site was visited by the chairman of the Simbirsk diocese department for interaction with the armed forces, Archpriest Sergius Kichigin. The priest wished the members of the veteran organization good health and God's help in serving the Fatherland and educating youth, and also took part in the construction.
The initiator of the creation of the monument “Defenders of sea borders of all generations” was the initiative group of the Ulyanovsk regional branch of the All-Russian public organization of Navy veterans “Sea Brotherhood”, headed by its chairman, captain of the 2nd rank of the reserve Alexander Emelkin.
