Strengthening Greece-Serbia cooperation in school and university sports and the prospect of joint Summer Schoolstranslated

The Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zaharakis, held a formal meeting at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science, with the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Gajić. The Ministers of the two countries agreed on the full utilization of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Greece and Serbia in the field of Sports, which was signed in March 2026 by the Deputy Minister of Sports Giannis Vroutsis and Zoran Gajić. In particular, it was agreed to strengthen the cooperation of the two ministries, with the aim of further upgrading school and university sports.

Sofia Zaharaki, placed particular emphasis on the strengthening of cooperation between schools and university institutions of the two countries, as well as on the development of organized student exchange programs with a focus on sports.
