All-Russian forum “Volunteer of St. Seraphim of Sarov” has startedtranslated

On June 30, the All-Russian forum “Volunteer of St. Seraphim of Sarov” started in the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolis. This year its theme is “The legacy of St. Seraphim of Sarov as the basis of sacrificial service,” which resonates especially deeply with everyone who devotes themselves to works of mercy.
The Vyborg diocese at this significant event is represented by the chairman of the Department for Church Charity and Social Service, Elena Kosheleva, as well as the rector of the Church of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers in the village of Razdolye, Priozersk deanery, the winner of the 2026 competition, Priest Boris Ershov.
The main goal of the large-scale event is the development of Orthodox volunteerism, support for the authors of volunteer initiatives and the dissemination of the best practices of social service.
The first day was eventful: the forum participants visited the Nizhny Novgorod Cathedral in the name of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, then the grand opening of the forum took place at the Arzamas Orthodox Gymnasium, then the participants discussed the theory and practice of using lean technologies in social infrastructure, exchanged experiences, and also got acquainted with the history of the region in the Orthodox Arzamas Gymnasium Museum.…
