The charitable foundation for preserving cultural heritage "White Iris" has announced a regional contest titled "Inheritance Code: Preserving in Stone, Digitally, and in Words" to preserve rural churches.

Participants of the contest are required to create a 3D model, an animated video, a script, a blog project, or a research paper on Russian rural churches, reports the press service of the "White Iris" Foundation.

The goal of the contest is to demonstrate how digital, architectural, literary, and research tools help people recognize the value of rural churches and engage in their preservation.

The best works of participants will be continued in the foundation's projects and in the work of church custodians.

The contest is open to citizens of Russia aged 18 and older – individually or as part of a team, studio, or creative collective.

Participants may choose any church on Russian territory: their own object with personal history, archive, or route, or one of the objects offered by the foundation's custodians, such as the Sretensky Church in Resanino village (Yaroslavl Region) or the Church of John the Baptist in Romanovo village (Tver Region), where the foundation is already conducting volunteer and conservation work.
