We've been thinking about trying camp with our little one, so this Columbus Day weekend timing looks perfect. Is it suitable for a 4-year-old who's never been before, or do they need to be a bit older? Looking forward to it either way.

Our youngest went for the first time at four and had a blast chasing frogs by the lake. They keep the little ones busy with simple stuff like crafts and short prayers, so I think your 4-year-old would do fine. We’re planning to sign up too.

Yeah, our granddaughter did the same at four—loved those frog hunts by the dock and the quick morning prayers before crafts. We'll probably sign up for the retreat too. You going with the whole crew this time?

Our first time with the daughter was exactly four and a half - she came home with a whole pile of pebbles from the lake and talked about the short prayers before breakfast. Sounds like it's good for 4 year olds too, I'll check the October dates. We might sign up this year too.

Our grandson was the same way at four—those frog hunts by the dock always wore him out before crafts even started. We’re thinking of going as a family this year too. You bringing the whole Bennett clan or just a few?

We also thought about this family meeting, because my son is exactly four years old and he also likes to play with water. I agree with Thomas Taylor and James Bennett that short prayers and crafts work well with little ones. In October, if the weather permits, we may record it as well.

Our grandson was exactly like that at four too — the frogs by the dock wiped him out every time. We’re bringing the whole Bennett crew this October, tents and all. Are you lot staying in the cabins or roughing it like last time?
