Opening of the year at the Bucharest Theological Seminary: Emphasis on the accumulation of knowledge, but also on the formation of charactertranslated

Rev. Prof. Marian Colțan, director of the Bucharest Orthodox Theological Seminary, emphasized, at the opening ceremony of the school year, both the need to accumulate knowledge and the need to build character.

"Beyond the knowledge that you receive in the seminary, this spiritual side that you receive in the seminary is also very important. That is, to have the light of Christ in you or to have Christ the Savior in your soul every moment of your life," said the director father to the students.

"Because not only knowledge matters, but also character. And this character is formed only when in the Church we pray and ask Christ the Savior for help."

The ceremony began with a Te Deum service officiated by a council in which Father Ștefan Zară, diocesan adviser to the Culture and Media Communications Sector of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, and Father Ionuț Bărbulescu, Archdeacon of the 4th Sector of the Capital, took part.
