On July 6, on the feast of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in the Otradnoe microdistrict of the city of Bryansk.

At the entrance to the church, the archpastor was greeted with bread and salt by Sunday school students. The children sang “Hail, Virgin Mary” - a prayer glorifying the Mother of God, and sang the song “Our Faith” based on the verses of St. Nicholas of Serbia.

During the service, His Eminence was co-served by the dean of the Bryansk city church district, Archpriest Sergius Rysin, the rector of the church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, Priest Ilya Burdukov, the honorary rector of the church, Priest Alexy Arkhipov, and the cleric of the Bryansk Holy Trinity Cathedral, Priest Sergius Ivashchenko.

Church hymns were performed by the cathedral choir (regent – A.A. Biryukov).

On the day of its patronal celebration, the homely, cozy wooden church was filled with people praying. Thanks for the news. It is nice that the children from the Sunday school greeted the Bishop with bread and salt and sang "Theotokos Virgin, rejoice." The church is really cozy, wooden, and when it is full of people on the throne holiday, it is always a joy.

It was nice that the children from the Sunday school welcomed the lord with bread and salt and sang "The Virgin Mary". That wooden church sounds cozy when it's full, and the cathedral choir sure sang beautifully there. Thanks for the message.

It's good that the sisters of mercy also came, led by father Ilie Burdukov. The children with the bread and salt and "Rejoice, Mother of God" gave a homely touch, exactly as it should be at a patron saint. Thanks for the news.

Yes, Yuliya, the children are really good - bread and salt and "The Virgin Mary" always create a special atmosphere. I was in that wooden church last summer, it is really very cozy, especially when it smells like fresh wood after the rain. And do you often visit there?

Yes, this little wooden church really has something warm about it. I like that the Sunday school children sang “Богородице Дева, радуйся” with the bread and salt, it immediately gives an air of family celebration. Thank you for the article, it’s nice to see that the sisters of mercy were numerous too.

It was a good service. I especially liked that the children greeted us with bread and salt and sang “Virgin Mother of God”, and then also “Our Faith” by Nikolai Serbsky. I was in such a wooden church a couple of years ago - it really felt like home, when the people were full and the choir from the cathedral was singing.

Yes, Yuliya, children with bread and salt and the "Virgin of the Virgin" immediately set the tone for the holiday. I also love that wooden church, especially when after the service you can stand in the garden near it and breathe in the fresh air. And you were at the liturgy on July 6?
