Service of Archbishop Thomas in the Ascension Cathedral in Zvenigorodtranslated

On October 21, on the day of remembrance of the Council of the New Martyrs of Zvenigorod, Archbishop Thomas of Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Ascension Cathedral in Zvenigorod.

His Eminence was co-served by the dean of the Zvenigorod deanery district, priest Nikolai Kurenkov, and the clergy of the deanery.

Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Ascension Cathedral in Zvenigorod and the singers of the children’s and youth choir “Lik” of the Zvenigorod deanery.

At the special litany, Archbishop Thomas read a prayer for Holy Rus'.

At the end of the service, glorification was performed to the Cathedral of the Zvenigorod New Martyrs, after which the Bishop addressed the worshipers with the words of a sermon and thanked them for their prayerful singing.
