Timios Kalamos from I.M.M. Vatopediou for the first time in Thessaloniki in Novembertranslated

With the blessing of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, the Holy Reed of our Lord Jesus Christ will come out for the first time from Mount Athos and will be transported to Thessaloniki for the blessing and sanctification of the faithful people in the Holy Church of Agios Spyridon in Triandria, from Wednesday 11 to Monday 16 November 2026.

The holy relic will be carried by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, Archimandrite Ephraim on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., in the propylaea of the Holy Church.

Afterwards, a Doxology will be held on the arrival of the Holy Calamous, presided over by the Venerable Metropolitans of Sisani and Siatistis, Mr. Athanasios and Mr. Philotheos of Thessaloniki.

Immediately after the reception, a Prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ will be held, while in the evening of the same day, from 20:00 to 00:30, a High Priestly Vigil will be held, with Vespers, Holy Communion and Divine Liturgy, presided over by Metropolitan Sisanio and Siatist Mr. Athanasios.
