Synod of the Metropolitanate of Moldavia and Bucovina: New monastic settlements were establishedtranslated

The Synod of the Metropolitanate of Moldova and Bucovina met on Monday in a working session at the Metropolitan Residence in Iași. Among the decisions taken is the establishment of new monastic settlements.

Thus, the establishment of the "Buna Vestire" Hermitage (Boulețul Mic) was approved, under the Almaș Monastery, Neamţ County, Iasi Archdiocese.

The Metropolitan Synod also decided on the establishment of three monasteries under the Putna Monastery within the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți: The Monastery "Saint Ignatius Theophorus and Saint Filaret the Merciful" (Izvoarele Sucevei), the Monastery "The Shelter of the Mother of God" (Poiana Jiji), the Monastery "The Shelter of the Mother of God and the Holy Martyr Tryphon" (Galănești).

Also, the hermitage of monks "Saint Nectarie", Bărnărel, within the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuţi, was raised to the rank of a monastery with the name "Saint Hierarch Nectarie de la Aegina" Monastery.
