St. Joachim and Ana, model for families, says PS Timotei Prahoveanul. The hierarch consecrated the iconostasis of the Marțisor Parishtranslated

The Most Reverend Father Timotei Prahoveanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, spoke on Tuesday, at the Bucharest parish of Marțișor, about the model of patience, trust and love of God offered by the Holy Fathers Ioachim and Ana, the physical parents of the Mother of God.

Like Job, neither St. and Righteous Joachim "did not dare to say a word against God, because both one, and the other, and other righteous people truly loved God," said His Eminence. "Thus may be defined their waiting, their patience, and trusting that God will look upon them."

Unlike today's families, who do not have babies or refuse the gift of life, the Holy Fathers according to the body of the Mother of God "received the greatest gift" for their patience and prayer.

Sf. Ioachim și Ana ne arată că răbdarea și rugăciunea chiar aduc rod, chiar dacă vine târziu. Mi-a rămas în minte ce a zis PS Timotei, că n-au cârtit împotriva lui Dumnezeu, ca Iov. Astăzi multe familii aleg invers, iar ei au primit cel mai mare dar – pe Maica Domnului.

Da, și mie mi-a plăcut cum a legat PS Timotei răbdarea lor de Iov, fără niciun cuvânt împotriva lui Dumnezeu. Noi, la cor, cântăm adesea „Biserică însuflețită” și abia acum văd cât de adânc se potrivește cu familia asta sfântă. La noi în grădină, așteptând roadele toamna, mă gândesc că răbdarea lor e un model bun și pentru familii de azi.

Da, și mie mi-a rămas în minte legătura cu Iov – n-au cârtit deloc, deși așteptarea a fost lungă. La noi în grădină, când plantez ceva și aștept să iasă, îmi amintesc mereu că răbdarea nu e doar a noastră. Mulțumesc PS Timotei pentru cuvintele astea simple și adevărate.
