Sisters of the Varvara Sisterhood made a pilgrimage to the Polotsk Spaso-Euphrosinievsky Monasterytranslated

On July 26, on the day of remembrance of the Council of All Saints who shone in the land of Lithuania, the sisters of the sisterhood of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara made a pilgrimage to Polotsk. They brought news from the Oshmyany land to the resting place of the Grand Duchess of Polotsk - the Venerable Euphrosyne.
The journey to the Spaso-Euphrosinievsky Convent began with prayer: on the way, the sisters read akathists to the holy abbess and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the patron saint of all travelers. Upon arrival, the pilgrims ordered magpies from the church shop and submitted notes on the health of the priests, confessor, sisters of the sisterhood and their loved ones. Then they took part in a prayer service with an akathist to the saint in the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross, where they venerated her holy relics, resting in a silver shrine made by the Brest master N.P. Kuzmich. They offered prayers, confessed and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ at the Divine Liturgy.
They prayed especially earnestly for the seriously ill parishioners of their native church in front of the relics of the saint and icons with particles of the relics of great saints: the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and Spyridon of Trimifunt, Saints Ignatius Brianchaninov and Theophan the Recluse, Patriarch Tikhon, Martyr Tryphon and others...
