The Secretary of the Vyborg Diocese took part in a meeting of the Bishops' Council of the St. Petersburg Metropolistranslated

On September 4, a meeting of the Bishops' Council of the St. Petersburg Metropolis was held at the St. Petersburg Diocesan Administration. The meeting in the Golden Hall of the diocesan administration was chaired by Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, head of the St. Petersburg Metropolis, temporary administrator of the Vyborg diocese.
From the Vyborg diocese, the secretary of the diocese, Archpriest Igor Aksyonov, took part in the meeting.
One of the central topics was preparations for the celebration of September 12, the day of the transfer of the relics of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky and the holding of a citywide religious procession. Metropolitan Barsanuphius called for the participation of the clergy and laity of the dioceses of the St. Petersburg Metropolis in the prayer procession to be organized in advance.
The council participants also discussed the decisions of the Holy Synod, the development of missionary activities and the preparation of young people to study at the St. Petersburg Theological Academy.
