"Hospital School": A new program through which long-term hospitalized students can continue their educationtranslated

The new pre-university education unit entitled "Hospital School" was launched on Monday at the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMFCD). The project ensures the continuity of education for long-term boarding students.
"A child admitted to a hospital is not just a patient. He is still a student. He is a colleague. He is a friend. He is a child with dreams, with questions and with a future that the disease must not interrupt," emphasized the university professor. Dr. Viorel Jinga, rector of UMFCD.
"The teacher does not replace the doctor. Just as the doctor does not replace the teacher. But here, medicine and education work for the same goal: the future of the child." stated the rector of the university about the connection between the medical and the educational act.
"A true medical university is not only present in the amphitheatres and laboratories. It is present where people need it."
