One of these saints of God is Presbyter Vyacheslav Infantov. Hieromartyr Vyacheslav was born in 1883 into the family of a clerk and after graduating from the Theological Seminary he accepted holy orders. In 1930, he suffered his first six-month arrest in Samara prison on charges of anti-Soviet agitation. In 1937, Father Vyacheslav was again arrested in Kuibyshev and brought into investigation in the large-scale group case of Archbishop Alexander (Trapitsyn). The priest was accused of participating in an underground counter-revolutionary church organization, but he did not admit his guilt. On December 21, 1937, by resolution of the NKVD Troika, Father Vyacheslav was sentenced to capital punishment and executed on February 8, 1938, after which he was buried in a common grave in Kuibyshev.
