The head of the Diocesan Youth Department gave a lecture to students of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academytranslated

On September 4, 2026, an educational lecture was held by the head of the Diocesan Department for Youth Affairs and Missionary Service, Priest Dionisy Sakovich, as part of the “Knowledge.State” project.
The priest gave a lecture “Threats to the unity of Russia: mechanisms to counter the incitement of interethnic and interfaith hatred” to first and second year students of the Rostov branch of the Russian Customs Academy.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of preserving civil peace and harmony in a multinational country, legal and moral mechanisms for the prevention of extremism, the role of traditional values and personal responsibility of everyone in strengthening the unity of Russian society.
Students actively participated in the discussion of issues related to maintaining interethnic harmony and countering attempts to split society.
The event was organized as part of the cooperation of the Russian Society “Knowledge” with the Department for Youth Affairs and Missionary Service of the Rostov-on-Don Diocese and with the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk.
