Romanians from a region of Italy highlighted their Romanian identity: the "Romanian Heart" Festivaltranslated

The community of the "St. John the Baptist" Parish in Arezzo, Italy organized the "Din inimă de Romanian" Festival on Sunday, where Romanian traditions and identity were highlighted.
The organizers highlighted the importance of involving children raised in Italy in such activities in order to maintain the connection with the national identity in Romania.
The exhibition included costumes, traditional objects and children's works. In this way, families who live far from the country preserve Romanian traditions.
"There are places where longing for the country takes shape, color and voice. It is sewn with love, an object kept with care or an old song reminds us of people, places and things that have remained important to us, even if we live far from the country", said presbyter Cristina Lișman Horbaniuc.
Representatives of the local civil and religious authorities also participated in the festival: Lucia Tanti, municipal councilor, Stefano Leoni, prioress and responsible for youth ministry within the Curia of Arezzo, and Lucia Romanelli, representative of the Focolare Movement of Arezzo.
