The number of Russian students wishing to serve at the Nikolo-Sol'binsky Monastery is growing.translated

Increasingly, young people are eager to participate in the "Sol'ba" project of the Student Expeditionary Corps "Arctic Command," which organizes regular visits to the Nikolo-Sol'binsky Women's Monastery in Yaroslavl Oblast.

In September 2026, the Arctic Command, based at MIIT MIREA, opened its third season of such field trips. This was reported by the press service of MIIT MIREA to the "Foma" magazine.

The first field trip, which took place from September 18 to 20, allowed participants to spend several days away from city noise and helped with various household tasks and the improvement of the monastery's grounds.

In this season, the geographical scope of project participants continued to expand. For instance, Ekaterina Sumel'tynova, a student from the Volga State University in Yoshkar-Ola, came for the first autumn field trip—her friend had told her about the Arctic Command, and Ekaterina decided to start with Sol'ba.
