Elderly people from Sibiu county benefited from free ophthalmological consultations offered by the Philanthropy Federationtranslated

A number of 100 elderly people from Sibiu county recently received free ophthalmological consultations offered by the Philanthropy Federation of the Romanian Patriarchate.

The action is part of the "Help an old man smile" campaign and took place at the "Holy Trinity" Cathedral Center in Sibiu. The beneficiaries came from the municipality of Sibiu, Cisnădie and localities from Mărginimea Sibiului.

Father Ciprian Ioniță, patriarchal adviser and president of the Philanthropy Federation, told Trinitas TV that the initiative aims to help the elderly "both by offering medical and social services and by providing material support".

"One of the strategic directions of the Federation of Philanthropy is to support vulnerable communities and especially the member organizations," said Rev. Ciprian Ioniță.

"Philanthropy unites hearts" The campaign, organized for the third time in local Sibiu communities, was carried out in collaboration with the Sibiu Orthodox Philanthropy Association team.
