On August 18, 2026, the rector of the Pochaiv Theological Seminary, Archbishop Iov Shumskyi, vicar of the Ternopil Diocese, took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 1080th anniversary of the blessed death of Saint John of Rila in the city of Burgas (Bulgaria). This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with reference to the press service of the Bulgarian Patriarchate. Okay, interesting. I did not know that Archbishop Iov of Pochaiv went all the way to Burgas for the feast of Saint John of Rila. 1080 years is a long time, though. What was the weather like there on August 18?
