Bishop Visarion of Tulcea on Wednesday blessed three social centers inaugurated in the municipality of Tulcea for the elderly and people with disabilities. "The Church makes its spiritual and also material contribution to alleviate the suffering of our fellow men," the hierarch told Trinitas TV.

The three institutions are the Center for Assistance and Recovery for the Elderly, the Day Center for Adults with Disabilities "Sfântul Gavril" and the Outpatient Neuromotor Rehabilitation Center "Sfântul Mihail".

The investments were made through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the total value of the three projects being over 16 million lei.

The centers intended for people with disabilities offer specialized services and a hot meal, through the Tulcea Assistance and Social Protection Directorate and its partners.
