Conducting the Great Circle of the Volga Cossack Armytranslated

On Saturday, October 24, meetings of the Great Circle of the Volga Cossack Army were held at the Cyril and Methodius Cathedral. The event began with a prayer service in the church, which was led by Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk. At the end of the prayer service, Vladyka gave the Cossacks an archpastoral blessing for their upcoming work. Then the program continued at the diocesan spiritual and educational center “Cyrillic”, where the State Song and Dance Ensemble “Volga Cossacks” performed for the delegates. The main working part of the congress was devoted to an analysis of the activities of the military Cossack society. The meeting participants summed up the results of the outgoing year 2026 and approved a plan of priority areas of work for 2027. The official meeting was attended by the ataman of the Cossack army, Colonel Konstantin Davityan, deputy governor of the Samara region Vladimir Kiy, honorary chairman of the Council of Old Men Anatoly Shapovalov, as well as a representative of the office of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Vasily Sharonov.

At the end of the reporting cycle, a ceremony was held to honor and reward the Cossacks who most distinguished themselves in public service.
