Proto-single Sofian Costea explained, in a new episode of Doxologia's "ASKetica" video project, about the tendency to seek the appreciation of others online, explaining that "we run after the vain glory and motivation that comes from people, and less after the glory that comes from God".
The parent drew attention to how the desire for validation can feed the ego and transform social networks from mere communication tools into spaces where man searches for his own worth.
"A Holy Father said that the end of time is approaching or that it is a beginning of the end of time, the moment when the paths between people will be blocked, the moment when the channels of communication will disappear, people will communicate in an increasingly rigid, brief and artificial manner".
Father Sofian Costea emphasized that this search for appreciation is part of a wider phenomenon of attachment to things that offer image, status or recognition, which "not only remove, often confiscate well-crystallized social relationships up until then".
