The archpriest explained how a person is threatened by the darkening of his pectoral crosstranslated

The blackening of an Orthodox pectoral cross can be associated not only with a person’s physical condition, but also with his spiritual experiences. This explanation was given by Archpriest Vladimir Golovin, speaking about the reasons for the change in the appearance of the cross. According to Golovin, changes can reflect a person’s thoughts, feelings and internal state. The priest believes that what is happening with the cross should not be considered separately from the spiritual life of its owner. To change the situation, he calls for paying attention to working on your own soul.

The archpriest called regular attendance at church one of the important conditions for such spiritual work. He also pointed out the importance of confession and Communion in the life of a believer. It is through these actions, according to the clergyman, that a person should work on his inner state.
