It's nice that the festival is still happening. We sing the prayers that Father Feofan set to music to this day, especially on holidays. I wonder if something from his liturgy will be heard this year.

In our choir last year we sang Father Feofan's “Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom” and it was really nice how fresh the melodies felt. I'm glad the festival is continuing. Are you singing something from it this year?

Thanks to Metropolitan Ambrose for reminding Father Feofan so easily. In our Tbilisi choir, we still sing his "Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom", especially during Lent. This year we have the same plan, it's good that the festival is not interrupted.

It's good that the festival continues. In our choir here in Athens, we have also sung pieces from the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom by Father Theophanes, especially during Great Lent, and they really stay fresh. Will we dare to do something of his festive this year?

Here in Ostrava, we sing Feofan's liturgy to the choir mainly at Christmas and Easter, the melodies really stick. This year we also tried some of his holiday songs, it still sounds fresh. It will be interesting if they will also play something less known at the festival.

Yes, his canonical prayers are also recited at our choir, especially "Lord Have Mercy" on feast days. This year they have even included parts of his liturgy in the program, so I wouldn't miss it. Do you sing anything from his "Our Father" at your church?

In our choir in Barcelona we also sing parts of the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom by Father Feofán, especially in Lent. I like how the metropolitan says that the melodies are still alive after so many years. This year we will try his “Our Father”, to see how it sounds.

Yes, we also sing his "Lord have mercy" in our choir almost every Sunday, the boys like it because it's straightforward. This year they say they have something from his liturgy at the festival, so I would go and see it. Do you also sing his version of "Blessed are You, Lord"?

It's great that Feofán's works continue to be sung in Barcelona, especially during Lent; Here in the parish we also notice that his “Our Father” is very collected and helps us enter into prayer. How have you adapted it for the choir, with the same voices or have you simplified it a little? I hope it turns out very well for you this year.

Yes, Father Feofan's liturgy still feels very fresh in our church choir, especially the “It is worthy”. We sang them at the Feast of the Holy Trinity last year, and the children hummed the tunes at home for weeks afterwards. Are you singing the Cherubim hymn from it again this year?

In our parish we also use it during Lent and Feofán's “Our Father” is very serene, almost as if people lowered their heads without thinking about it. Are you going to sing it for four voices or have you arranged it for less? It would be nice to hear how it sounds to you this year.

It's good that in your parish in Barcelona they also use the "Our Father" of Feofán in Lent, here in Madrid we sing it the same and you can see how people really gather. We adapted it for mixed voices but without complicating it too much, almost as it is written, we only adjusted a couple of inputs so that it doesn't sound heavy. And you, how many singers do you have in the choir? I hope the festival goes well for you.

Yes, we also sing "Lord have mercy" in the choir, but more so in Advent, the boys like it mainly because it goes quickly and they don't have to concentrate much on the notes. We haven't tried his version of "Blahosloven jsi, Gospodi" yet, I'd like to see if they have it at the festival this year. Will you be there in person?

It's good that you adapt it for mixed voices without complicating it, that's the most practical thing. Here in Valencia we sing it as it is during Lent with about 12 people in the choir and you can notice how people suddenly become silent. Have you ever tried singing it with fewer voices, just sopranos and tenors? I hope the festival goes well for you too.
