Parishioners of the Church of Saints Peter and Fevronia made a pilgrimage to Vetkatranslated

On August 16, 2026, parishioners of the Church of the Holy Blessed Princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom in Gomel, led by the parish cleric Priest Ilya Fedorov, made a pilgrimage to the city of Vetka. The program included a visit to the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord and acquaintance with the historical and cultural heritage of the city.
In the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, pilgrims prayed in front of revered images and other shrines.
The program continued with a visit to the Vetka Museum of Old Believers and Belarusian Traditions named after F. G. Shklyarov. During the excursion, the trip participants got acquainted with the history of Vetka, Old Believer icon painting, old printed and handwritten books, folk weaving traditions and Neglyub towels. Special attention was paid to the products of local craftsmen - goldsmiths and woodcarvers.
The trip allowed us to touch the shrines and gain a deeper understanding of the history and cultural identity of the Vetkovo region.
