The South American priests from the Metropolis of the Two Americas were received on Friday at the Palace of the Patriarchate by the Most Reverend Father Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Patriarchal Vicar Bishop, who appreciated their missionary work as "an admirable one".
Clerics from Latin America came to Romania to spend a month at the Putna Monastery, where they will deepen their liturgical life and Romanian Orthodox spirituality.
The delegation was led by Fr. Daniel Ene, eparchial vicar of the Metropolis of the two Americas, and made up of Fr. Antonio García, parish priest of the "Saints Constantine and Elena" Church in Caracas (Venezuela), Fr. Esteban Diaz, servant of the Romanian Orthodox community in Baranchia (Colombia), Fr. Rafael Padilla, parish priest of the "Saint Joseph de la Partoș" Church in Quito (Ecuador), as well as Fr. Alex Vladimir Aedo Vilugrón and deacon Nicolas, from the "Saint Siluan Athonite and Saint Philoftheia" Church in Concepción (Chile), the southernmost Romanian parish in the world.
