The Chairman of the Interdiocesan Department for Prison Ministry visited the correctional institutions of Mozhaisktranslated

On September 16, 2026, the chairman of the interdiocesan department for prison ministry, chairman of the department for prison ministry of the Balashikha diocese, priest Mikhail Kuzemka, made a working visit to the correctional institutions of the city of Mozhaisk.

In the Mozhaisk educational colony, Father Mikhail was accompanied by the assistant to the head of the colony for work with believers, the rector of the Archangel Michael Church in the city of Mozhaisk, priest Sergiy Andriyanov. During the visit, there was a meeting with the leadership of the institution, a visit to the students and a spiritual conversation with them.

Next, priest Mikhail Kuzemka visited women’s correctional colony No. 5 (Dzerzhinsky village, Mozhaisk), where he also met with the leadership and had a conversation with prisoners.

The final point of the program was pre-trial detention center No. 10 in the city of Mozhaisk. Here Father Mikhail talked with the leadership, and also met with the accused and suspects. The visit to the pre-trial detention center was attended by the institution’s confessor, Archpriest Vitaly Shovgar, and priest Sergiy Andriyanov.
