The ruling bishop took part in the opening of the football and athletics arena "Arena Chelyabinsk"translated

The grand opening of the football and track and field arena "Arena Chelyabinsk" took place in the South Ural capital. The minister of sports, chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev and the governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler took part in the grand opening. The ceremony was attended by the head of Chelyabinsk Alexey Loshkin and Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass. Construction of the facility began in August 2023 and lasted just over three years. The Arena Chelyabinsk arena is designed for year-round training and competitions at various levels in football and athletics. The football stadium was assigned the second category according to the standards of the Russian Football Union. The athletics zone allows for regional and interregional physical education and sports events.
