On the eve of the celebration of the memory of the Apostle Matthias, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass performed Matins with polyeleos in the Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Mauk, Kasli district. The ruling bishop was concelebrated by Archpriest Alexander Gorodinsky, dean of the Upper Ufaleysky deanery, and other clergy. The hymns of the service were performed by the Bishop's Choir under the direction of regent Marina Goman. During the service, the archpastor and clergy read an akathist to the Dormition of the Mother of God. Bishop Alexy anointed the parishioners with blessed oil. In his sermon, Metropolitan Alexy warmly congratulated everyone on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. The ruling bishop noted the good arrangement of the Mauk church, which is currently preparing for the great consecration, and highly appreciated the work of the clergy, the parish and the builders of the church. “Everything was done competently, economically, correctly, with all my heart. This is how it should be, because we bring our best to God. It is easy and good to pray here.

Soon the church will be consecrated, and prayers will constantly be offered here for our family and friends, for our Fatherland,” said Bishop Alexy. Tomorrow the Church celebrates the memory of the Apostle Matthias, a disciple of Christ, who was chosen by lot instead of Judas...
