Orthodox youth “Dobrosvet” congratulated the elderly in Serebryanye Prudy 10/03/2026translated

October 3, 2026 · 1 min read

On October 3, on the Day of the Elderly, participants of the Orthodox youth project “Dobrosvet” of the St. Nicholas Church of the town of Serebryanye Prudy visited the KCSOR “Nadezhda” with a festive concert in the village of Dmitrievskoye. For the center's wards, the guys from Dobrosvet prepared an extensive literary and musical program with the active participation and assistance of the Dmitrievsky House of Culture. The concert began with prayer, congratulations and good wishes from the dean of the Serebryano-Prudsky church district, Priest Vladimir Shubin, and Priest Nikolai Govorov, responsible for missionary service. Then popular lyrical songs with guitar and cappella, church chants were performed. At the end of the holiday, as a sign of love and respect, the guys distributed memorable gifts: candles - as a symbol of the light of faith and warmth of the heart; cards with good wishes and, from the pupils of the “Solnyshko” kindergarten, hearts sewn from fabric.
