Fr. Manuel Radu: "In God's economy there is no gesture of love lost and no deed of charity forgotten"translated

July 10, 2026 · 1 min read

Father Manuel Radu understood the service of the Church as a concrete approach to people in need. For years in a row, in Urlați, he was with children, mothers and families in difficult situations, through social and educational projects that offered support where shortages threatened not only the present, but also the children's future.

Currently, as the parish priest of the Church "Saint Spiridon" - Vechi in Bucharest, Fr. Manuel Radu talks about family, responsibility, the social work of the Church and how a gesture of love, no matter how small it may seem, can become the beginning of a beneficial change in a person's life. The interview was given in the section #vinereapentruviață.

Alexandra Nadane: You are a husband, father, priest, social worker. How did these roles intertwine throughout Your Holiness's life?

Rev. Manuel Radu: I see these roles as a single path of ministry, not as separate stages of life. First, God gave me the blessing of starting a family. As a husband and father, I have learned that true love means patience, obedience, forgiveness, and self-giving. Family was and remains the place I return to to find my balance and…
