St. Martyr Sofia and her three daughters - Pistis, Elpis and Agapis - were honored on Thursday at the "St. Martyr Sofia" Day Center for children of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, in the presence of Father Ionuț Tutea, diocesan counselor at the Social-Philanthropic Sector.

The event included the officiating of the akathist of the patron saints, the Akathist of the Holy Hierarch Nectarius of Aegina, and the veneration of an icon of the saint brought on pilgrimage from the "Holy Pious Parascheva" Parish in Bragadiru, Ilfov county.

"We give glory to the good God that today, at the time of celebration, we meet again the great family of the St. Sofia Center - the great family that is united by that common thought of being useful, of helping those in need," said the diocesan councilor father for Trinitas TV.
