Patriarch Daniel about St. Constantin Sârbu: His mercy towards the suffering man was the most powerful sermontranslated

Blessed Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, sent a message on Friday on the occasion of the local proclamation of the Holy Martyr Constantin Sârbu, at the Mihai Vodă Monastery in the Capital.
His Beatitude showed that the saint's life reflected love for Christ and his fellow men: "His mercy towards the suffering man was the most powerful sermon of his life."
"The secret of this steadfast merciful love was in prayer. Saint Constantin Sârbu had to constantly say the Jesus Prayer and urged his disciples to carry it in their minds and hearts, right in the middle of the affairs of the world," emphasized Father Patriarch Daniel.
The Holy Martyr Constantin Sârbu was canonized by the Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church in 2024, together with 15 other holy priests and confessors from the communist period. It has a celebration date of October 23.
