Patriarch Porfirije meets representatives of Serbian Diaspora Fund in Belgrade

Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia met with representatives of the “Diaspora Fund for the Homeland” Association at the House of the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade on September 2, 2026.
During the meeting, representatives briefed the Patriarch on the humanitarian organization’s activities, which focus on supporting socially vulnerable Serbs and institutions in need, strengthening ties between Serbia and its diaspora, and preserving Serbian national, cultural and spiritual identity.
The discussion also addressed the current situation of Serbian communities abroad and the need to strengthen unity and cooperation, particularly among different generations and social groups within the diaspora.
Representatives also presented plans to establish a “Serbian House” in Belgrade, which would serve as the Fund’s permanent headquarters and provide information, assistance and support to members of the diaspora visiting Serbia.
