It is good that the Patriarch celebrated the Ascension Day in his native Imbros, where he grew up. It must have been special for him in the church he had known since childhood. May God give him health.

I agree, Sofia, that return to the church from childhood certainly brings back special memories. I know that my grandfather always said that it was his favorite to serve in the church where he was baptized. May the Lord protect him.

I agree, Radmila, my dad also said that his favorite time is when he serves in the Church of Saint Petka in Futog, where he was baptized. Those childhood memories really hold a person. Have you ever been to Imbros?
