The Romanian Orthodox Parish "St. Mc. Cecilia" in Ardea, Italy, acquired a new liturgical spacetranslated

Fr. Gavril Popa, the parish priest of the Romanian Orthodox community "St. Mc. Cecilia" in Ardea, Italy, signed on Tuesday the deed of purchase of a building that will become the new liturgical space of the parish. The new church is located at Via Chieti SNC, Marina di Ardea (RM), Italy.

"This moment represents the fulfillment of an important desire for the Romanian community in Ardea and the neighboring towns, which, for almost a year, gathered to pray provisionally, in a space arranged with a lot of sacrifice in the yard of one of the faithful of the parish", states the parish priest in an announcement published on the diocesan website.

"By purchasing this building, the parish acquires its own place, which will gradually be arranged for the performance of holy services, the carrying out of catechetical, cultural and philanthropic activities, becoming a true spiritual home for all Orthodox Romanians from Ardea and its surroundings."

The parish sends its thanks to the Most Reverend Father Siluan, the Bishop of Italy, for the trust, blessing and permanent support given to the work of identifying and purchasing the new space, as well as to all the faithful and benefactors...
