A monument to the holy naval commander Feodor Ushakov was erected in the homeland of Russian nuclear submarine shipbuilding - in Severodvinsktranslated

On September 20, 2026, a monument-bust to the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov was unveiled in the city of Severodvinsk, which is the birthplace of Russian nuclear submarine shipbuilding.

The ceremonial opening of the monument to the outstanding Russian naval commander took place in the city park "Patriot", reported the magazine "Foma" in the initiative group for the construction of a spiritual and historical complex in honor of the holy righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov in the city of Moscow (Levoberezhny), which is implementing a project to install monuments to this saint.

The monument was erected as part of a project to preserve historical memory and popularize the image of the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Arkhangelsk region, members of the command of the naval base and the head of the initiative group Dmitry Shlopak.

– The Arkhangelsk region is directly connected with the beginning of Ushakov’s maritime biography: in 1766-1767, the young midshipman made the transition from Kronstadt around Scandinavia to Arkhangelsk and back.
