Pilgrimage trip of parishioners of the Church of the Holy Annunciation in Ivdel: memory of the new martyrs and confessorstranslated

On September 14, a pilgrimage trip took place for parishioners of the Church of the Holy Annunciation in the city of Ivdel, the rector of the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church and the church elder to the villages of Denezhkino and Staraya Sama.
The pilgrims visited places that preserve the mournful and holy memory of those who suffered for their faith during the years of repression. At the memorial cross they read an akathist to the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church, prayed and served a litiya. Particular attention was paid to the memorial stone to the victims of political repression - a place where the memory of people who endured suffering and death during the difficult years of persecution is immortalized.
In these places, many priests and monks worked, died and were buried, testifying to their loyalty to Christ even to death. Among them are saints who are now canonized as new martyrs: Hieromartyr Pavel Uspensky, Martyrs Alexandra Kasparova and Anastasia Titova.
An important part of the trip was a visit to the quarries where prisoners worked during the years of repression: these places remind of the harsh trials that the prisoners endured.
