In the village of Arkhonskaya they honored the memory of Archimandrite Matthew (Mormyl)translated

On September 15, 2026, 17 years after his repose in the Lord, a memorial service for Father Matthew was held in his native village in the church-museum named after him. The requiem was performed by the dean of the Oktyabrsky District, rector of the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky Art. Archon priest Dimitri Khestanov.  Village residents who knew Father Matthew well came to pray and remember Father. After the funeral service, they shared memories of Father, touching moments of his attention, help, and even cases of insight and prayerful intercession before the Lord received through Father Matthew.
